Bern, 23 November 2025 – Successful release of debut album:
FINN BO GEORGE celebrates huge success with his band!
At 7 p.m. on 22 November 2025, there was an expectant silence in the Great Hall of the Bern Conservatory Music School. Even the concert grand piano and microphones seemed to be waiting for the musicians. A slim young man with medium-length tousled hair quietly entered the stage, sat down behind the drum kit in the right-hand corner and gently lifted the brushes to conjure up a rousing drum solo that slowly swelled in intensity. Tom Swirles (20), a music student from Manchester (UK) and cousin of FINN BO GEORGE, set high standards at the beginning of the evening.
Only then did FINN BO GEORGE, Ralph Küker (electric guitar) and David Ribeiro Soares (electric bass) enter the scene in the acoustically unique chamber music hall. The nine tracks on their debut album ‘From Outer Space’ captivated the audience from the first song to the last. FINN BO GEORGE impressed with his warm voice, spanning four and a half octaves, his instrumental skills and his strong stage presence. Switching from grand piano to guitar, he led his band through wonderful soundscapes to pop-rock passages. In between, the Steinway grand piano, tuned to 443 Hz, required the guitars to be retuned. An experience that moved even untrained ears to listen closely. ‘It’s a personal work that documents my musical journey,’ said the 19-year-old singer-songwriter from Thun (Bernese Oberland) before the concert of his debut album. Not only the music, but also the lyrics of the songs he has composed over the last three years touched the audience of a hundred people of all ages, who gave the band a standing ovation at the end. We can’t wait to hear what his second album, which is already in the works, will bring!
